Role of Education and School in society

“Education” is a word which we are very familiar with in our everyday life because education is considered as the most significant activity in any society. It is something which is important but not independent. But according to some of the experts, education is the process of training a man to fulfill his aim by exercising all the facilities to the full extent as a member of the society. Education is a way of bringing out the ideas which are talent in the minds of every human being. It is a conscious and deliberate effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that the learners are actively developing the potential for them to have a spiritual strength of religion, self control, personality, intelligence, noble character and the skill needed by themselves and society. In this way of education, schools play a pivotal role in any child’s life. Although a child’s first education place is his home. But a school provides child growth and development as well as a conducive environment. They not only learn academic skills but also learn many other skills as well. Sitting in the classroom in the company of other children, they learn faster. For proper physical growth and development, schools provide sports and games environment. Children learn knowledge in various subjects in school only. Schools help children develop their personality by providing them opportunities in different fields. So in conclusion we can say that schools play a great role in children’s life in context of education as well as other activities.
